At Festival of Funk. No regrets.

wtf, he allows growler fills? I thought Dick soda was DONG only :(

Festival of funk rules. I'm sure it was sold out but it was never too crowded or crazy except for obviously the cantillon line and a few others. My highlights were the cantillon, Dionysus had a great jammy Berliner And rare barrel had some great stuff. Casa agria and three stars were great too. shrine of the forsaken gods I went back to like five ******* times because it was so good. It was seriously just like a just A jester king beer. I stupidly forgot to wear sunscreen so I'm a cook turkey but the festival was awesome. When the **** is the festival of dankness because I want to go to that ****. I randomly got tums from an acquaintance during the festival and that saved my stomach so much. Great festival overall

Wish I wore suncreen. I now look like a lobster.

SPF 50 was not enough, granted I should have reapplied somewhere around 2 since I put it on around 10am while we were finishing setting up.

At least 1 arm has color now, but that redness on the back of the neck will be annoying for a few days.

Stayed at FoF to try and kick various booths...not sure how 3F lasted until 2:45 or so but a group of us were all standing around to try and finish the last 6ish bottles they had.

I had my ticket cost in 3F alone. That half ish hour I just sat next to the table was divine.

That funky cider might have been one of my favorites of the entire festival. #talkcider

Reminds me that I need to check out Newtopia Cyder and head back up to Julian Cider Works now that the weather is nicer.

Definitely recommend Newtopia Cyder....if not for the ciders than at least for the scripps ranch clientele.

Damn I never tried any of the ciders, I ****** up.

Stopped in Gordon Biersch yesterday for their Maibock. Bummed that their Czech Pils was out but the Nelson Session was quite good.

The last time I was at GB I had no idea about what good beer meant. Now that my lager enlightenment has happened must revisit.

Also Unfiltered Enjoy By in cans? Sigh. Me. Up.

I don't even need to FTFY!

So any of you fine SD folks going to be in the Miramar area Wednesday night, perchance?
Really hoping my flight gets in on time. I cancelled all my Thursday morning meetings. Hump day drinking, yay!

what time and where you thinking? I'm usually wrapping up my rides around then and heading back towards my area in Kearny Mesa. I could sub out Societe maybe just this once ;)

Are the limited release bottles/cans from Modern Times always the same price at the brewery as they were on BPT? Strange to include the fees into the cost at the brewery. For example on BPT the total for Mexican Hot Chocolate MP was 34.43 and I paid $34.48 yesterday at the brewery. Not sure if this was a mistake, or if they are doing this to discourage people from waiting to buy IP to avoid paying the fees?

Always, also why did you buy the mexican hot chocolate one at the source? That one will see distro and TraderJoes will again sell it at 30% less than retail like they do with all of their beers.

That's pretty ****** of them, but what can you do I guess? Also It actually wasn't for me it was for friends that wanted it. I personally just bought some coffee and C+P Dankness cans.
