So Ballast Point is shuttering 2 locations (Miramar & Temecula) and already closed Old Grove? With all these breweries closing down, I think the craftbeer bubble has burst in SD.

I thought it was only a portion of the Miramar facility that was going to be shuttered...assuming I read the article correctly.

Juneshine, not Boochcraft.

Yeah, I was too lazy to fact check....

Will be interesting to see where the hard kombucha market goes. Is it too late to start a hard kefir brewery? If not, I'm in.
I read about using kefir in place of buttermilk so I bought some and I'm hooked already!

anyone know if those alpine cans of danksters paradise are brewed at GF or up the hill? i'm guessing up the hill (they have a canning line up there??) but i really don't wanna make the trek if it's not.

Juneshine actually doesn't taste bad, more like cider than kombucha. Boochcraft tastes like they blended grain alcohol into vinaigrette.

Dude I'm still waiting for the kvass train to start rolling

I have literally never had kombucha in my life.

You know how much I love sours and along with soda, tonics, and other flavored carbonated beverages. I find kombucha absolutely disgusting.

Literally the only kombucha worth drinking is the stuff that is high in sugar and fruit content. Like GT's Watermelon one is great, but only because you know that **** is unhealthy for you.

I bought a can of Juneshine for the girlfriend and she said it started to taste like hot dog water after it warmed up a bit.

Kvass is Bread Life? Kvass is Limbo? Life and Death are covered already.

The water kefir with passion fruit puree we have in the fridge is so damn good. Pretty sure you guys would dig it. No vinegar/acetic acid in the kefir grains we have.

Ngl, I don't get kefir. We've bought it on more than one occasion, and it's just, what, a barely drinkable yogurt?

I think he's talking about something different. That's why I posted about using it in place of buttermilk
