So long as it isn't a sour stout again. While that beer ended up tasting pretty good, it just didn't sound all that appealing on paper. I wouldn't mind a 2014 zwanze again though. That one was quite delicious.

We are thrilled to have been selected again to host this iconic event celebrating lambic and friendship! It is an honor and a privilege; we have now been lucky enough to host since 2014! Details regarding the beers to be offered are not yet available.

Tickets are extremely limited and will go on sale at 10AM on Wednesday August 29th, one month ahead of Zwanze Day. One per person maximum, this event will sell out very quickly.

And the beer this year:

Ooof, that $9 in fees is a ******* killer.

Why do we have 160 or whatever breweries in this town and no standout beer journalist? Peter Rowe at the UT is an excellent writer/reporter and used to cover beer fairly well up until things really started blowing up, but now he seems to be phoning it in with reviews of beers from out-of-town breweries, that impenetrable "King of Beers" thing and dumb features like, "Is it better to drink beer from a bottle, can or pint glass?"

Finally Speedway is coming to 4-packs along with Horny Devil.
12-oz cans I hope.

Picked up a week old bottle of El Segundo for IPA day. Drinking an executive member right now. Shout out to them, Pizza Port, and the others fighting the good fight and putting our kick ass clear IPA.
I drank probably one too many Jetty’s and/or Amalgamator’s at toronado this evening, seconding the fight for simply fantastic west coast IPAs. Also replaced a normal human’s daily intake of water with firestone lager. Clear beer doesn’t cause hangovers, right? This works like liquor did back in high school?

I think you might be on to something. But I will say saison may be the ultimate non hangover beer;)

I went to L.A. for a concert yesterday and had time to stop at either Monkish or El Segundo. I chose Monkish. I was getting increasingly tired of hazy IPAs and after trying a few more of theirs, I think I'm officially done with the haze and sticking with WCIPAs going forward.

I should've gone to El Segundo instead.

I'm a big fan of El Segundo. To the point that it I can ever get a day to myself I'm going to make the trek to to visit them.

Speaking of Full Pint, they have a poll on their website for who make the best West Coast IPAs.

I agree with El Segundo, but I'm surprised to see Wild Barrel so high up - especially since I haven't heard much hubbub about them from you guys. Worth checking out?

I'm surprised as well since they really only make one WCIPA but it is a good one.

Also a sad reminder of Alpine's decline in perception (and how their brand has been tarnished by GF).
