Hi Everyone.
After that... ahem... slightly pompous tagline, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm a brewer from Cumbria by way of Northern Ireland, and a doctoral candidate at Queen's University Belfast
The name derives from the medieval custom of the Lord of Misrule, a festive character who ruled the city for a few days each year, giving instructions to eat, drink and be merry, in the middle of a hard work year.
My own interests in brewing are partly historical, partly anachronistic: I'm not a Reinheitsgebot dogmatist, nor a follower of tradition-by-the-letter, but rather an experimenter and tinkerer, brewing (or attempting to brew) counter-factual beer styles.
I look forward to chatting more with you all
