The heck is this?

This has been going on since i racked and started secondary.

Second time round and i haven't seen this before in any of my three first mead's during secondary.

this particular one is giving me a lot of trouble.

Clover honey, Pineapple, orange, with sweet basil.

This, sir, is called a secondary fermentation and the yeast seems to be having a party with the fruit in a jug with very little headspace.

That foam has a lot of personality. If it grows legs call the CDC.

I'm guessing it's the pineapple. I've seen pineapple fermenting in my fridge -- abundant foam.

I figured it wasn't anything to nasty, I've just never seen anything like it.
I do agree i need to upgrade too something else, or leave more head space. i'm leaving very little due to first time tips and learning from a youtube video.
