I'm trying to restrain myself from saying something in public that I shouldn't...

I'm on the mailing list for the local homebrew club that I'm not in because they're mostly bigger douches than me. And, someone's bitching and complaining that one of the guys who's a club leader, used to have a homebrew shop but closed right after Christmas, so he's pissed that his gift certificate isn't any good. Pissed that the shop closed without any advance noticed, and now he wants the former owner to make good and give him some hops and grain.

And what I want to say is; if you went into the ****ing store and saw that they had essentially no inventory - I went there and there were oh-fer-three on Munich malt, US-05 yeast, and Star-San... if you went into the store and looked around, it was PRETTY ****ING CLEAR THEY WERE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!

And, if the dude had the money to make good on your $50 gift certificate... HE PROBABLY MIGHT NOT HAVE CLOSED THE ****ING DOORS!

The weird thing is, though, they were completely out of these three basic staples, but they had a whole pallet of Kaiser malt.

anyone use BeerGas instead of co2? they say its a mixture of co2 and nitro, produces less foam. thanks for any info!

It's 75% nitro and 25%co2 and you need a nitro cylinder and regulator.
Not cheap for the average home brewer.

I'm trying to restrain my...ah hell, is there anyone as douchey as you bird?

(I mean other than Cape, PTN, Rookie, Az).

Beer gas is simply "nitro". Its not any more expensive than a CO2 set-up. I have one. It is a different tank and regulator though. The hitch is what you're going to use it for.

Guinness... When it "cascades"... That's beer gas. It's not simply a "less foamy" CO2.

So you would typically use it for stouts, cream ales and then any other beer you want to put "on nitro"

This makes me laugh

Then you are a sick jerk. The guy who owns the boat said he wants no money for repairs and is donating any money he gets to the victims fund.

There are no bullet holes, they only used flash bangs, but if there were he should keep them as a badge of honor.

Really?? Picture I saw looked like they lit the thing up and strafed bullets down the entire length of it. Reports said there was a hail of bullets at that scene. Where were they firing em'? Up in the air to celebrate wild west style??

"Yeeeeee hawwww! We done got em!!!"

Bang!! Bang bang bang!!!

That was the reason for it, so you would get same mouth feel without spoiling the beer. Never said it was a good emulation....

The reason being cak conditioned beers a pumped full of regular air which is 76% nitrogen. Hence the 80% nitrogen co2 mix..... It makes what pressurizes the beer more like what a cask does without destabilizing with o2.....

Also there are other reasons, such as less waste when pouring because thereis less Goan, much like with a casket ale......
