Just replaced my stock PVC lines with new ones and eww. Just do right bad, awful everything. My old lines were about 4' and the 1st pour was 80% foam unless I had my regulator set to 4-6 psi. With 3 taps this didn't really work with having 1 regulator and a 3-way manifold. So I bout 30' of PVC tubing from an online retailer and it pours like a dream but... the first 4 ounces are so bad I have to dump it. It is a literal assault to my scenes and now my mind is playing tricks on me with every pour. I started by running water through my lines at start up.That went bad so I contacted the seller website. Per their instructions I soaked the lines in PBW for 24 hours then ran BLC through them and a water flush with no change and when I open my kegerator door the vinyl is dominating I will be replacing my lines in a couple days but...

Could it be that the beer has twice as much contact with the PVC?

Did I get a bad batch of PVC tubing?

Anyone have better luck with Bevflex 200 tubing?

Accuflex seems like the gold standard but my taps are a 90 degree bend 3/16" barbed fitting so the John Guest fittings are a no go on that end right? Also people have said they are rigid and need more length then the standard PVC tube. With my current set up its a tight fit so can you pull off a 12" coil with the Accuflex?

1) So gas or beverage lines? I read a few times, but couldn't decipher... I'm thinking maybe gas.
2) What 'online retailer'? They might be a vendor here and be willing to help you out or at least a warning to others who to steer clear of.

Bev line and they are the basic PVC from Northern Brewer.

Northern brewer has refunded the cost of the beer tubing. While the product was sub par their customer service was great. In the 2nd email I sent them to let them know a 24 hour PBW soak and running BLC through didn't work to get rid of the plastic taste. They offered me a cash refund or a NB gift card with some extra money on it before I mentioned replacing the tubing.

I replaced it with Bevflex 2000 from my local shop and after a 2 day period I'm 90% sure there is no PVC smell or taste. In my wezienboch and stout I get nothing but I have a blonde that at times I think I taste and smell PVC in a 2oz test pour. It's probably all in my head now cause I'm hunting for the taste and the blonde is about as basic as a home brew can get.
