You ever have that happen? As a homebrewer, new to the game, I have been brewing "easy" or beginner batches. Red ales, brown ales, irish ales ect to learn the craft.

However I cracked my first brew from a recipe that I did (based loosely on a columbus IPA). And it was the exact tastes I had "hoped" it would be? Man thats a hellav a feeling, and oh so satisfying...almost dropped a tear.

Love this hobby.

I feel for both of you guys! I wasted and am just getting ready to try my very first beer from my first brew of caribou Slobber this coming Sunday!!! Yeah!

I did a little happy dance right after after I pitched the yeast on my first full 5 gallon batch. Good times... :tank:

For me I'd have to say it was my partial mash Cougar Country IPA with 8.3ozs of hops. The flavor was finally what I wanted in my own IPA. Like Pliny crossed with a really herbal/citrusy one. Too bad it cost too much to brew every month.
