So I have an Ale Pale for my primary fermenter with the sticky thermometer on the side of it. How closely is the temperature displayed by my thermometer stuck to the side matching the actual temperature inside the bucket where the fermentation is actually taking place? Do you have to do any form of adjustment or is it pretty dead on?

Supposedly it's off by one degree for every 10 degrees of variance between the wort and ambient.

Example:
Wort at 60F, ambient at 70F. Strip will read 61F.
