A friend of mine gave me a whole lot of Hallertau hops that he harvested from his vines. I dried them, then vacume sealed, and froze them immediately. My question is whether anyone has an extract recipe that uses just Hallertau hops. If I have to get an additional variety, I will, but prefer to use just these at this point.

Also, I was just asked yesterday by the person organizing the Christmas party at work this year, if I would be willing to donate a six pack or bomber of homebrew for the gift exchange or door prize. This seems like a good excuse to brew with the fresh hops. I'd say that whatever I brew will need to be a type of beer that the common folk will enjoy (pale ale or wheat beer maybe?). Lagers and pilsners are out of the question as I can't ferment them at the proper temps.

Any ideas/ recipes that you can share are much appreciated. :mug:

I have a Kolsch styled beer fermenting now. It's just pilsner malt (or pils extract) & Hallertau 2/3 at 60 min and 1/3 at 30.

But I bet most German or Belgian style recips that only call for noble hops should work with hallertau. Or if you decide to make a 90 IBU all Hallertau IIPA, let me know how that goes.
