I brewed an AG Oktoberfest a few months ago, and it has been in the seconday since August-ish. The problem is that it wasn't very cold while "lagering" (mid-70s for a little, then mid-60s for the last month or so). Now looking at it, there's some stuff floating on top. Is it dead yeast (that's what it looks like) or did a "lager" in a warm secondary produce some kind of mildew or mold or something? I'm not home so I can't give a picture, just a description that it looks like dead yeast, but is floating on top.

Any thoughts?

First of all, you aren't lagering the beer. It needs to be cellar temp in order to lager. Seond, the particles could either be hot/cold break material leftover, or dead yeast.
