I recently asked a few questions around IPAs and applied that wisdom to this recipe:

.. and it came out amazing. The aroma in particular is outstanding. Right from the first bottle, it smells like a commercial one, huge tropical notes.
So, used pretty much the same approach with the next one:
- almost identical malt bill
- same mash temp
- same yeast (US-05)
- 60 min addition was Citra rather than Columbus
- whirlpool was 50g Amarillo 50g Simcoe
- dry hop was 50g Amarillo 50g Simcoe
So over 3oz each in whirlpool and dry hop.
Cracked the first one last night - it's good, big fruit palate, but doesn't have the same huge nose as the first.
Is Citra just a beast in this regard?
Obviously I've left a lot of detail out, can clarify if it could be process rather than ingredients.
