how much strike water do you add to your grains in your mash tun. What is the ratio of water to grains.

I use 1.33 QTs/LBS.
It gives me the perfect volumes to work with.
With British Styles I will sometimes do a 1:1 Ratio...

I mash at 1.5:1 ratio quarts of water to pounds of grain.

I used to mash at 1.33:1 as well, but I got better efficiency at 1.5:1, however mashing milds and bitters at 1:1 makes for a damn fine beer, I do this when I remember to.
