I was drinking a beer and thinking of different flavors and the beer brewing process.

Having had a wonderful strawberry IPA at "Bang the Drum" Brewery in San Luis Obispo, I began to wonder about creaming that flavor with lactose.

Has anyone ever heard of doing a "milk IPA".

:fro:

Yeah i've been working on a Strawberry Milkshake IPA for a little while now. Haven't brewed it yet (or even finalized a recipe) but its around 8%, heavy on the Citra and Mosaic and has some 2 row and flaked wheat and Lactose in it.

Youd just want to avoid bitterness from hops, I'd think. Go for all hopstand hops, mostly sub 175°F. Belma is supposedly strawberryish, but I've never tried them.
