I've got some wine aging in a glass jug. It's nothing fancy, just Welchs white grape juice made better with some Montrachet yeast:). What I'm noticing though is a strange whispy appearance near the top of the jug, just the top inch or so up in the neck. Hard to get a photo, but it's almost like a light bit of smoke hanging near the top. The wine was racked into this jug a few months ago and isn't dropping any more lees, but does this sound like a problem?

It sounds like mycoderma floating on the wine, if so, you want to try to remove as much as possible, rack from under the film into a clean jug and treat with meta. Make sure that the jug is topped off well.

I hope that this helps.
