Hi all,

I bought a mill and I'm starting to mill my grain. I get nice results, but I'm wondering how long I can store the milled grain. I milled what I need for a 5 gal. Batch on Friday night but I had a power problem at home and I can't brew until next Friday (Thursday, if I'm lucky)...I put the milled grain in a plastic bag inside a clean fermenter with a closed lid. Will it be ok?

The biggest issue is water intake via humidity etc. I've stored milled grain for over a year without issue it just needs to be sealed airtight. If you have any of those silica packets lying around you could use those too.
But 1 week shouldn't be a problem if it's sealed as you described.

Definitely not a problem...general rule of thumb for milled grain is a month...did this myself and hit all my numbers. RDWHAHB
