i have my batch fermenting in the closet will the smell of the closet affect the taste of the beer at all while it in there?

Your opening should be bunged and air locked. Fermentation will produce gases that leave the brew so nothing should get in. You fermenting in an open bucket?

Yes, the stench of your stinky shoes will get in there and ruin your beer......

Whatever it does to beer sure makes it taste good after a game. Experiment, add a glove to secondary.

Lol nothing smelly it just that closet smell that's always closed. Can't really describe the smell. It's in a glass carboy. The closet kind of smells like the closet and beer now. Just want to make sure it won't interfere with it.
