Is there a problem with storing cornies with StarSan in them? I've read that leaving OxyClean in cornies for long periods is bad, but what about StarSan?

The manufacturer suggests not leaving starsan in contact with metals for extended periods of time due to the acidic nature of the stuff.

Actually the manufacturer and label states not to leave it in contact with SOFT metals for extended periods.

I've left it in a corny for 6 months and it was fine. Still foamy when I shook it too. No pitting, etching, staining...just shiny keg inside!

I have a starsan keg and I push from corny to corny to sanitize and then back to the starsan keg. It does not seal well but it does not have any pitting or corrosion after a couple years of storage.

I always leave 2 or 3 quarts in my kegs while they're in storage with no problems. Just don't forget to dump it out before racking your beer into it.

<sigh>

There's nothing worse than discovering you've suddenly got 5 gallons of sani-beer.
