Have used it many times, works well at cooling down wort. Had a professional welder attach 304 stainless steel camlocks to the chiller. I would not classify the welds as sanitary. I always recirculated boiling wort though the chiller in the last 15 minutes of the boil to ensure it was sanitized.
Never had any problems with hops or any other debris clogging it up. Garden hose fittings are on the water inputs and outputs.
