You may be right, I think I could get away with never rotating it, and leaving it in the down position all the time. I looks like it sits high enough above the yeast that it would not be an issue, unless maybe I pitched on a yeast cake.....then it might be above the dip tube.....

Only have 1 brew in it, so I still have to see what the norm will be
