Hey all,

I'm having trouble with the SSR installed in my 220v control box. I have 2 outlets on the box. One brings power in and the other provides power to my element. When I stick a multimeter into the power out outlet, I'm reading full voltage no matter if the SSR indicator light is on or off. Is this because I don't have the element hooked up? Should I be worried there's a short in my SSR?

SSRs control current. A voltage reading will be misleading. Connect a load that requires current to it. You'll know if it works then.
Awesome, thanks for the reply. This was my thought too. Just wanted to see if I should replace this thing before testing it. I'll test first.

I'm pretty sure the fact that SSR's leak voltage is a part of the primer stuck to the top of this sub-forum.
