This is kinda a feeler

I have a ss brew tech 5.5 gallon kettle that I used to build a custom lauter grant for my 30gal system. I added 2 weldless triclamp adapters ($25 each) for the in and out ports and moved the thermometer port to the left side. I installed a spike thermometer ($50). I had a custom norcal false bottom built ($100) I did cut one of the handles off for clearance on the back side(right handle). I still have the handle if you want to try to weld it back on or I can but it will be ugly. This has been an awesome lauter grant I'm just looking into going to a closed system for cip reasons. I have over $300 into this grant and love it. I would like to get $250 as is. I would consider selling without the thermometer for $200. I have 2 different pickup tubes that I can offer at an additional price. One Is 1/2" one is 1". I will include either with a gasket and clamp for $30. Again this is kinda a feeler because I love this setup I'm not sure I really wanna let it go but I'm really wanting a closed cip system so here it is. Shipping not included but prices negotiable.

Decided to keep the thermometer, here are a couple more pictures. $200 shipped obo as is. Could be an awesome kettle for 3 gal biab? Or a decoction kettle? Makes a great lauter grant! Plenty of possibilities!

Also have a 2000w 240v element that fits this kettle perfectly with an l6-30 plug on it I would include for $80. I could also build a pickup tube to fit the 1/2" bulkhead. I'm starting to debate keeping it to try out as a decoction kettle.. somebody has to be interested! Could be used for rims/lauter all in one kettle!

Well I took a stab at reattaching the handle. As I suspected it is ugly. The welds are strong, but ugly. I have built it up as a decoction kettle, element installed, pickup tube installed and all triclamp ports. This would be awesome for someone who wants a smaller kettle for decoction mash. I am debating using it but I really dont brew many recipes that use decoction. As it sits including the false bottom there are over $470 worth of parts. I will let it go with element, false bottom, all triclamp fittings pictured, for $300 shipped.
