Ss Brewtech eKettle Line Rusting?

I just saw the below image posted on the Ss Facebook user group. I was half looking at these as I move my brewing inside/to electric. A few others commented that their kettles are rusting around the bottom weld seam. A couple specs of rust doesn't scare me but this looks like a major manufacturing issue. Anyone else seeing this issue on their Ss stuff??

sounds like theres been a few reports.. I rememeber seeing pics and reports like these from many different pieces of equipment here, even blichmann kettles so you may want to try doing an actual google search including "homebrewtalk" in the search..

I just did a quick search here using the search feature on this site and found many reports of the same thing...

appears to be a fairly common manufacturing defect which sometimes cleans up and doesnt come back.
