Hey everyone. Doing my second batch as we speak, half hour into the boil, and I have the beer split into 2 pots, boiling seperately. Was just wondering (forget what I did last time!), should I rack from one pot to the other to combine them, or just dump it in? I can't remember if oxidisation is an issue post-boil, or after fermentation starts.

Thanks

My understanding is that you don't want to pour it because you risk hot wort oxidation once over temps of 80 F.

I would use a pitcher that you can submerge into the kettles so that there is no splashing. If you have a way to rack over with a siphon (stainless steel maybe, but not the auto siphon) that would be good. Palmer explains here http://www.howtobrew.com/section1/chapter6-9-3.html about hot wort oxidation.

Good luck.
