Speidel Fermenter Spigot Question

I purchased a stainless spigot to upgrade my Speidel fermenter. I've noticed that the chrome plating has started to come off (probably from cleaning). I've attached pictures. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts about adverse effects on my beer. Thanks I'm advance.

If plating is coming off, it's likely not stainless.

I have the stainless steel faucets on all of my Speidel fermenters and they have been on for years without issues. I agree with Dr. Jeff, if they are peeling, they are chrome and not SS
