So, I have one of these new Polarware 10g pots on my stove right now with 4 gallons of water heating up. I have one of those electric stoves with a flat top on it. Since the bottom of the pot is so thin, i'm hearing lots of noise from it - temperature gauge reads about 180 F. I went to sort of pick it up, and the bottom started shaking like crazy and it scared the hell out of me.

Once this thing starts to boil, is it going to explode or something funky like that? Do I need to worry about this thin bottom bottom cracking and dumping 4 gallons of boiling wort everywhere?

It's just the metal expanding on your flat cook top, you have nothing to worry about.
