I went to the LHBS to pick up something to brew this weekend. I was talking to the guys there and they pulled out a seasonal recipe that I am gonna take a gamble on. Starts with a Brewers Best Scotch Ale kit, then adding 0.50 tsp Nutmeg, 1 tsp Allspice, 1 Cinnamon Stick, 2 Cloves, Crushed. And I also picked up a liquid yeast that he recommended instead of the dry yeast that comes with the kit. Adding the extras at 45 minutes of a 60 minute boil along with Irish moss.

I did notice these added ingredients in a recent Pumpkin Ale posting, but with less. I am gonna go for it, but if anyone has a suggestion or think I should add or change things around, please let me know. Thanks!

It sounds like it would be very nice. I would go for it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. :)

I just bottled a Pumpkin Ale using the same spices in pretty much the same amounts and it tastes AWESOME. I don't think that those amounts are too much, I say go for it. I did add the spices at 10 minutes instead of 45 minutes though.

Ok, so I made this brew. I added the spices at 30 minutes instead of 45. I also added a 29 oz. can of pumpkin. I took a O.G. it was 1.042. Now we wait.
