No. Their temperature accuracy is crap. You'd also have to try to mount it in the cooler. Just build an STC1000. I think I spent all of $35 on the parts and it is MASSIVELY more accuracy and controllable than an attic fan thermostat. Otherwise you are better off with just leaving the thermostat for the fridge in place and trying to adjust the temperature that way.
 
Wait - isn't an "SOFC" a fan-driven icebox - using actual ice?

While any digital temperature controller will provide tighter regulation than an attic fan controller, we're just talking about spinning a fan, right? Would the potentially tighter control make much of a difference in this case?
