I've been quite handy lately.
1. Built an extension cord with armored cable, leading to a GCFI outlet.
2. Figured out pipe-sweating and soldered my diptube together
3. Mounted my pump to a wooden base, attached a ball valve and barbs and put a plug on it (to plug into the GCFI).
4. Took the basket that comes with the turkey fryer kit, cut off the rim (go angle grinder!) lined it with screen. This fits perfectly in my round 10 gallon cooler and will serve as a false bottom / sides and sit on top of the manifold for double filtration with no stuck sparges.
Not bad for a couple of brew projects.
