Hello All,

My hop plants shoots are starting to pop through the mulch, which is a good thing, but I am getting 1 to 3 inch snow tomorrow. Will my plants be okay or should I cover them to be cautious?

Thanks

I doubt a couple of inches of snow will be a problem.
And even so, if these are crowns, you're going to be cutting back any first growth anyway.

Last year right about now we got buried by 40" of snow, so I've kept my 15 crowns under their mulch blankets and unaware that Spring is nearly here.

Last forecast is the snow will miss us here in Central MA, but still, I'm in no hurry to let them loose.
Maybe in another week or so...

Cheers!

[edit] Well the same "weatherperson" who said the storm would totally miss us here just changed his mind and now we're looking at as much as half a foot.
Still, nbd, but ffs, how is that twit holding down a job? ;)
