So it being that time of year again, I'd was wondering if I could get some help building my Smithwick's Clone. It's for the wife, she loves this stuff cause it's not too heavy, but it still tastes good. The stuff that we get over here has changed dramatically since I've had it when I was first over there nearly 15 years ago. But so has my palate. I've been searching & searching & I really like this clone recipe that I found on BrewItAgain. Let me know if you've made one in the past or if this looks like the real McCoy:

Smithwick's is very hit or miss with me, and I can't quite tell if there's some variance in the actual beer or just my taste buds when I sample it.

I've given up trying to make Irish beers for St Pats day. I just brew whatever I think people will like. This year, I'll be bringing a dark Vienna lager.
