My 1st SMaSH recipe. Never used Warrior and am wondering if anyone has experienced this hop in the flavor and aroma additions? There are a few threads out there, but most people use Warrior as bittering only.

5 gal @ 68% efficiency
2-Row American - 10lbs
60 Minute addition Warrior ~ .5 oz (40 IBU)
10 minute addition ~ 2 oz
US-05

I'd do a dry hop or at least flameout add so you can learn more of the aroma. I've used it late a few times, but never alone, enjoyable all the same. the aromatics are kinda a subtle citrus IIRC

Thanks for all the feedback!

I'll take the flamout input. I'm sort of impatient and don't feel like waiting more time to dry hop. This will be on my brew to do list for mid-June AFTER the Saison is in the tank.

I'm thinking of brewing one of these as well.

I was going for:

12 lbs 2-Row
.5 oz 60 minute
.5 oz 10 minute
.5 oz at flameout
Dry hop

Any idea how many oz to dry hop and for how long? I have pellets and will have about 2.5 oz left after the above additions.
