Does anyone know of any local stores that would sell small electrical enclosures. I just want to put a few switches and a gfi outlet or two in it. Home depot has some online, but I would like to see a few in person
Thanks

I called a few electrical supply stores in my area, and was able to go in and check stuff out. You could try the same.

I'm really surprised that people don't default to a .50 can more often for small jobs like this.
$5-$10 a piece and tough as can be. What don't people like about them? Too ugly?

Thats a .30 cal ammo can. The .50 cal is even larger, but you get the idea. I used a .30 cal can for a battery and electrical box on a motorcycle, so it has some good size to it.

That's an incredible idea. I've got a few of them laying around the garage and it never even crossed my mind to use one for a control panel. This is definitely going to help the retro look I'm going for.

Farm supply stores are good is you have them in your area and way cheaper than home despot

Do these places stock electrical boxes? I don't have any of these real close by, but if they stock these things it would be worth the drive.

Yep, They do in the midwest. Think of them as a Ace hardware only a lot cheaper

:off:The picture I see is 5.56mm, making it .223, .308 would be 7.62...

I have a few of each from previous deployments. If the anyone is really looking for them I'd recommend gun shows. They'll be a lot cheaper than at a surplus store ($$$$) around here, or online where you have to pay shipping. Craigslist can also be good, or just buy a can full of bullets. New control enclosure AND a few hours of fun!

would tractor supply sell enclosures? I have one of those close to me, but i couldn't fine anything on their website
