Well we are mashed in....21 lbs. of grain.

We are going to make 2 five gallon batches of single hop pale ale--definitley one will be Amarillo, the other either Pacific Gem or Columbus--yet to be decide. Once we smell how funky the Pac gems are, we'll decide.

Could be a long, ugly night. I've never started drinking this early in a brew day.

Pics to come, I'm sure.

BTW, the brewers today are SwAMi, Jon (XtrmXJ), and myself. :rockin:

ERRRR...change of plans....

Now we are doing a 10 gallon batch of a killer IPA, chock full of Columbus, Centennial, Amarillo and Glacier hops. More to come. :drunk:

We had to change plans once we realize that logistically, doing a split batch would be a nightmare. So, we cobbled together a new recipe real quick.

Here's the recipe we're doing:

Both of these babies are bubblign away like mad. I can't wait to try this sucker!

I am a litle concerned with the ferment temps, the house is pretty chilly but the thermo is reading about 68 outside the fermenter, which means it is probably closer to 75 inside it.

Oh well....

What a blast of a brewday. I was so tore up by the end it is a wonder we got everything accomplished without any major accidents.
