So the last thing I have to buy for my setup is hi temp tubing. I was settled on silicone but I have heard that you can restrict the outflow of a pump if you are feeding it with silicone tubing as the silicone tubing will burst. Is this true? I had planned on mounting my pump inside a box with 6" pieces of hoses conecting the ports of the pump to the camlocks. I had also planned on putting a valve on the out put so I could restrict the flow if need be. So I know I am not supposed to restrict the inlet to a march pump and apparently I can't restrict the output if it is fed by silicone. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

The vast majority of people here using pumps with restricted outputs use 1/2" silicone tubing. The risk for bursting is practically non existant. I don't even use hose clamps on my lines.

Use full ports on the inlet. We use 3/4 inch silicone for the inlet side (tri clover fitting from Brewer's Hardware). Put your inlet on the bottom so you can get the air out. We have a "T" and two ball valve on the outlet. That allows us to quickly move the output and also to bleed air out of the pump. Keep your supply lines as short as reasonable. Ours are about 1 foot in length.
