Should I get my bottles in the fridge ASAP?

Bottled my firtst batch in over 10 years 5 days ago. O.G. was 1.073, the F.G. was 1.022 and had been there for 10 days (16 days in fermenter total). I know that is pretty high but I had tried several times to rouse the yeast to no avail. So I went ahead and bottled. Anyway, I put a bottle in the fridge this morning to chill it, cracked it open, poured it in my glass and it was perfectly carbonated after only 5 days. The beer still needs some time to develop, but I am afraid I may end up with gushers or even bottle bombs if I let it sit much longer. Should I get my bottles in the fridge to halt the yeast from over carbonating?

I'd try another one just to be sure. Probably from another point in the bottling process (i.e if you were putting them in a big box as you bottled, take one from the opposite end of the box from where you took the one you tried before) to make sure you didn't just get one that had more bottling sugar for some reason.

If the next bottle is properly carbed after 24 hours in the fridge, then you're probably ok to cool them down a bit if you want. Not sure I'd be TOO worried about bottle bombs, but I'd keep an eye on 'em. That OG was a bit high, but especially if it was an extract batch, it's not unheard of.
