Been sitting on a handful of Mr. Beer small cans of Hopped Extract. Don't have a small fermenter so...into the pot they all went.

3x small cans of Grand Bohemian Czech Pilsner, 1x Canadian Blonde, along with 250Ml of dark LME.

Was rooting around the back of the fridge and found a baggy of assorted yeast packages. The Belle Saison was on top, so it got used.

Chugging away nicely, this morning. Should turn into...beer...

Sure cleared a bunch of space up in the storage shelf! :) Mission accomplished!

Found a package of Wyeast 1388 dated 2014. Made a lower OG starter (3/4 cup DME in a liter of water) and it is showing signs of life too. Like as not it will step up and eventually be used.

kitchen sink brew. I do this with my leftover grains that don't get used. i never know what i will end up with BUT, it is beer and it tastes good so...

Yep. A quickie count on my fingers shows about 3 1/2 kilos of extract in the mix. Not really sure what to expect from the Saison yeast as far as it's contributions, but it'll get drank eventually anyways. :)

Should be running about 20 degrees C and pretty stable, just above floor level in the basement.

I love this. Like seriously so many people seem to want everything to be all scientifically planned and executed that this simple organic nature of this is a breath of fresh air.

Stewbrew, cabinet cleaner, etc. The only problem will be trying to duplicate it later when you find out it's the best beer you've ever made.

Just for yuks, check this out: Bell's Batch 10,000 used a bit of pretty much every single malt on the market as well as 60 different hop varieties:

Nah. Never going to reproduce it anyways. Not at the retail price of those little cans, for sure! Cheaper to just buy the stuff ready made, I figure.

No recipe, no expectations of greatness, just of drinkable brew.
