I have a belgian wit in the primary now (first batch ever), I am a brew virgin. I was going to use a secondary. Should I or not? If so, when should I transfer. If not, approx how many days until she is ready to bottle, 10 or so? It has been just over a day and no bubbles yet. I hope to see activity in the airlock tomorrow. The temp is about 67-70 degrees. Any and all advice please!!! Thanks.

A lot of people follow the 1-2-3 schedule.
one week in the primary
two weeks in a secondary
three weeks in bottles

but that's not a set in stone kind of thing.

Secondaries are usually used to clarify the beer. Since wits aren't usually clear, it's not an absolute necessity.

Give it a week, and if you're eager to bottle, take a hydrometer reading and see where your gravity is at. If it's on target, bottle it. If not, wait a bit.

Like ill mentioned, it's not a requirement...for a first batch I would prb suggest not messing around with the beer as much as humanly possible and let it do its thing.

sit back and read up in the mean time:
