Schlitz Dark

I never knew Schlitz made a dark beer but the other day I saw some Schlitz Dark & Schlitz Bock memorabilia online. Anyone remember these or know more about them?

i remember a lot of the big beers released dark versions in the late 70's early 80's.

from what i remember they mostly tasted the same but just looked darker.

German Pilsner is to Schwarzbier as American Lager is to American Dark Lager. It's basically the same beer with a sprinkle of carafa 3 or sinemar beer dye.

Schlitz Dark? We use to drink that by the pitcher at the Pizza hut back when we were virtually juvenile delinquents' and only 16 yo. They weren't good about checking ID's back then. You only had to be 18 yo back then. So we were almost old enough!
