Sanyo 4912 with Pin Locks

I'm considering building a kegerator with the Sanyo 4912 fridge. Has anyone tried this with pin lock kegs? I'm thinking they might be too big for this setup but I'm curious if I'd have to pick up some ball locks to work with it. Havent seen anyone on the boards with them using pin locks.

Also, is there any bennefit to storing the gas tank outside of the fridge instead of inside like I see some people doing?

I personally leave my tank and regulator outside of my chest freezer because the condensation can damage the gauges over time. Pin locks are just less flexible, but if you have them, use them! Or, you could buy ball locks for all your serving needs and use the pin locks exclusively for fermenting.....
