I'm planning on picking up a Sanke coupler to convert and use in my ball lock keezer to use a commercial keg on occasion.

The one thing I'm wondering is it worth paying extra for a name brand coupler and/or stainless one. I got burnt buying an "economy" regulator initially, and I did feel it was worth paying up for name-brand stainless taps. Should I do the same for the coupler? Or are the economy chrome ones trouble free like the plastic ball lock keg connectors?

If I have a choice, I will always go with stainless steel. It will be less trouble down the road.

As far as brand names go, I usually look for online reviews. I generally like to buy top quality stuff. I've had enough problems with cheap gear in the past to justify the extra cost. You get what you pay for.
