Just an update on Moonraker. DOJO cans sold out as it was a smaller batch. Still Yojo cans left. Also a few local craft bottle shops are going to be carrying them (Yojo) in Sacramento this week (LaRiv and Curtis Park).

I got both cans. Drinking great. Had the Sling Jaw IPA as well.

Enjoyed both Yojo and Dojo. (really liked Dojo) The Ghost Ship Pale was tasty too.

Moonraker is legit.

Is YOJO still available at the brewery? Will be in town this weekend and figured I should stop by.
They're very responsive to Facebook messages, I'd ask there before heading there. Worth a trip regardless just to drink there though, and they'll likely have that, Dojo, and others available.

Yeah I agree. They will have them all on tap. They do growler fills as well.

They actually have 3 different Yojo variations with different hops. In addition to regular Yojo they have Yojo Part Deux and Yojo 33 1/3.

The Sling Jaw NE IPA is also good.

They are known for the IPAs, but funny part is, they actually won a GABF Silver Medal for a Pilsner. And a Gold at the USBC for a Milk Stout.

Track 7 will be doing the special Colab 6 pack with these Breweries: Alvarado Street, Bike Dog, Fieldwork, Modern Times, Revision and 3 Weavers

Should be good.

Moonraker has their next CAN release coming up on 12/23. Holy Hermit Double NE IPA. It is an Imperial version of the old Yojo part Deux, Citra and Amarillo hops.

They also just posted about their ramped up releases in 2017.

1/6: Zulu Haze can release

1/20: Dojo can release
1/20: Mosaic Crush can release

2/2: Yojo can release
2/2: Citra Crush can release
2/2: Galaxy Crush can release

2/17: Dojo can release

Will be making a few runs to Auburn to stock up.

The word you're looking for is "amazeballs"...

Ryan from T7 just dropped some more specific info on the collabs. They are all "in the tanks".

Alvarado St. - Kettle Sour with Apricot, Mandarin Orange and Orange Zest
Bike Dog - Imperial Salted Caramel Chocolate Coconut Coffee Milk Stout.
Fieldwork - NE-Inspired Wheat DIPA, ft. Mosaic, Amarillo and Ekuinot
Modern Times - Rustic Farmhouse Hazy IPA, ft. Mandarina Bavaria and Galaxy
Revision - Clarified NE-Inspired Not-Hazy-At-All IPA, ft. Waimea, Amarillo and Citra
3Weavers - Imperial Red with Blood Orange

+++++

lol on Revision (ex-Knee Deep) and their hate on all things HAZY......haha....

I am so stoked to be in town for this!!! See all you bastards there!

Got cans of the new batch of Track 7 "MoSuka" Double NE IPA. Pretty good.

Also just an FYI. Ryan from Track 7 said he is going to try and brew a Milkshake style beer next like Tired Hands.

These weekly Wednesday can releases have been cool for them to try new styles in smaller batches and put some variety out in Sac.

Regarding the Track 7 Colab "6 PACK". Ryan G from T7 said it should come in at about $25 for the 6 pack. He said it was expensive to make with the DIPA, Sour and Stout.

I figured that this would be closer to $30 for the 6 pack.

We'll see on Saturday. Should be a good crowd at both Curtis Park and Natomas.

One last update on the Track 7 colab 6 pack. Looks like less cans the anticipated....

Good Morning SBE, I wanted to take the opportunity to provide some extra info for our 5th Anniversary Celebration tomorrow particularly with the 5th Anniversary Collab 6pks.

For those that aren't aware, we brewed six collaboration beers with six amazing breweries. Info on the beers brewed can be found in the first post of this thread. All of the beers are now in cans and the team is assembling the mixed six-packs today.

Originally, we had hoped to brew a minimum of 14bbls for each of the collabs. However due to our other production obligations, we were only able to brew one 7bbl batch of the Alvarado Street Naughty by Nectar Kettle Sour ft. Mandarin and Apricot. This wound up requiring that we reduce the number of cases of the collaboration beers that we were ultimately able to package.

So with that bit of background, here is what we have for the details for tomorrow:
-- We were able to package 125 cases total for sale through our tasting rooms. Collab six-packs will be split with 75 cases at Curtis Park location and 50 cases at Natomas location.
-- Collab six-packs are going to be priced at $25 per six pack, plus tax and CRV.
-- Maximum number of Collab six-packs available for purchase by any one individual is 4 six-packs (1 case).
-- Both breweries open at noon.

We are very proud of these collaborations beers, think that they are all exceptional and cannot wait to share them with you. Cheers to 5 Years Sacramento!

There is a new update.

Track 7's owner Ryan G took a direct suggestion from chemman14 and they have now lowered the max to TWO 6 packs per person.

This should allow more people to get the 6 pack.
I wasn't the only one suggesting it but I was the first haha. Stoked they decided to do that. Shouldn't be an issue with lines before they open now.

They'll all be gone by the time I get there tomorrow afternoon, but I'll be sure to have a glass of each on tap!

Well the Track 7 can release was pretty rough on Saturday morning. Long lines (100+) and they ran of out of cans after the 1st hour. Only 2 point of sale terminals with no specific can line really slowed things down.

Growing pains for a small brewery. I am sure they will learn from this one for next year.

I ended up going back on Sunday afternoon. No lines and no people. I was able to try 5 of the 6 new beers and get growler fills.

The T7/Fieldwork Colab "Never The Bride" was the best I thought. Double NE IPA.

Pretty rough is putting it lightly. They were WAY understafffed and WAY underpreparred. I imagine they lost out on $1000's of dollars in beer sales that day. I wanted to drink more but didn't want to wait in a 20+ minute line for each pair of beers. They should have had 2 people focusing only on growler fills while the other two employees took orders. To treat each person as an order that is filled before the next person can be serviced is not an efficient way of running things. Hopefully they learn from this and are better preparred for future large events/releases like this in the future. That being said all of the beers were fantastic and I hope they re-brew them.

chemman14 Did you hit any other Sacramento/Auburn Breweries while you were up in this area?

I ended up at Fieldwork in downtown Sac when I saw the length of the line and cashier problems. Went back to Track 7 Natomas on Sunday and it was a ghost town, got fills with no lines. Was going to go up the hill to Moonraker, but insane traffic from the New Years return crowd made me cancel that.

I didn't hit Fieldwork this time, and the only other brewery I went to in this trip was Mraz to pickup my last bottles. I didn't renew my memebrship this year as they don't allow the reservation of bottles. That meant that me living in Southern CA meant I missed out on a few releases :(

So onto the next Sacramento Area Can release.

Looking forward to this one this weekend at Moonraker. The Hermit (Yojo part duex) and Zulu Haze.
