Rubbermaid 5-Gallon Water Cooler for $21.88

Is this a suitable mash tun for all-grain brewing? I'm mini-mashing an average of 6 lbs. of grain in my kettle now and looking to upgrade.

It seems that this cooler will only be able to handle 12 lbs. of grain at 1.3 liters per lb. but at least it will hold my mash temperature better.

What else will I need? Thanks.

Looks like it would work fine. You'll need to get your false bottom, probably 9". You can always find some cooler conversion kits that include all your fittings and whatnot.

That's the same cooler that most brew supply companies sell so I would say yes. Most cooler conversions I see are on the Rubbermaid or Coleman coolers
