I'll be brewing my first Roggenbier tomorrow. It will be 2.5 gal batch. I plan on mashing 2 pounds malted rye and using 2 pounds of Muntons Plain Light DME to make up the rest of the fermentables. I will use Tettang hops, 1 oz at 60 minutes and 1 more oz at 5 min. Also adding Irish Moss with 15 left. Now to get to my question, should i throw in a small amount of rice hulls considering ill only be mashing rye (which i have read is very sticky)?

since its a PM, im guessing you'll be mashing in a bag? if so, you don't need the hulls. also, thats a bit low on rye to be considered a roggen (~33% of fermentables)
