I PMed HBHOSS to see if he had any feedback. Here was his response:

"I got the relief valves and installed them on the lids I had that had no relief valve and they fit great and seem very solid. Much better than the plastic one that was on there before. I'd recommend them.

I guess these are a go. I will try them and report back as well.
