regulator pressure question

I have an older North American Dispense Systems Model 70012 CO2 primary regulator. I have cranked it all the way down and the output pressure is maxed out at 40psi. I need at least 55psi.

Any chance putting a rebuild kit in this would give me more pressure, or should I just repurpose it as a secondary and get a new primary regulator?
