Refrigerating yeast dump

How long should I be able to keep yeast in the fridge after dumping from a conical and still have it viable for re-pitching?

I had some i washed 3 months ago and used about a week ago. I threw it to a starter first, but it took off quickly. About a 6 hour lag time.
