Refractometer reading S

When I take a sample with the eye dropper and it has some hops mixed in will that throw off my reading ?

No it will not usually affect it unless you have so much hop particulate that it blocks out most of the light. Refractometers read the amount of light refraction so as long as it is mostly clear you should be fine.
