Hi all !
I have only one Red Star Pasteur Red packet 5g and wanna make a batch of 20L wine by red grape juice that i wanna make by juicer . I have no experience in wine yet . But I made some ale .
1- Is one packet enough for 20 L ?
2 - How much fruit of grape needs for 20 L juice ? Need to mix with water?
3 - Ideal temp ?
4 - Need any other juice to mix for better taste and color ?
5- Best OG for this yeast ?
6- Adding sugar ?
7- Final G and abv must be around ?
8- First fermentation time ?
9 - 2nd fermentation time ?
10- Adding hops or odder (for taste-like dry hop-I have some oak chips too)?
11 - Other suggestion ?
Thanks kindly !

You'll find this useful for the yeast questions, scroll down for yeast brand/strain:

What kind of grapes are you planning on using? Not all grapes make good wine.

As far as how many grapes, I never pressed grapes, so I don't know. Keep pressing till you have enough juice.

For proper temp range, follow the range listed on the yeast packet and/or listed on the yeast chart for that strain.

You may or may not need to add sugar to your juice, it depends on your OG & your desired end product. Do you want it dry, semi-dry, sweet?

As far as time goes, it's done when it's done.

I wouldn't add hops to wine.

I know I've seen a yeast chart like that somewhere a long time ago, but that one you linked to is very informative. Thanks!

I just made a starter for more skeeter pee using pasteur red yeast. Here's hoping it turns out as good as the montrachet or the ec1118 yeasts I've used for my pee.
