Rectangular Cooler Mash Tun Conversion Comments Requested.

I am kicking this around, let me know what you think. Four slotted half inch copper pipes one covered by the tape measure. The cooler is 10 inches by 18 inches by 11 inches deep.

Can I improve this design?

Yup. Put all the slots facing down

Will you be batch sparging or fly sparging?

Hard to tell from the pic, how close to the wall are the laterals. If you are fly sparging, channeling along the wall will be your biggest threat to efficiency.

Yep, for batch sparging channeling isn't a issue and what you have, with the slots down like djsethall said, is good!
